Schlaflos - Letzte Instanz

Schon seit all den vielen Jahren

liegt er immer noch allein-

mit der Zeit wird sich nichts ändern,

mit der Zeit wird"s noch so sein.

Daß er wacht wenn andre schlafen,

noch im dunklen Zimmer ließt,

von der Welt noch nicht viel weiß

und er trotzdem schon vergißt.

Meistens ist er ziemlich einsam,

doch meist ist er darüber froh-

war schon als kleiner Mensch zu klein,

gerade deshalb ist er so.

Daß er lacht, wenn andre weinen,

nur in die Bösen sich verliebt,

von der Welt noch nicht viel weiß

und er trotzdem schon vergißt

Wenn die wilden Vögel ziehn,

steht er auf und schautwohin.

Viel zu schnell ziehn sie vorbei,

viel zu schnell verrinnt dieZeit.

Heute hier und morgen dort,

ist er nie lang am selben Ort.

Doch wenn die Vögel wieder ziehn,

weiß er bis heute nicht wohin.

Nach all den vielen Jahren,

liegt er immer noch allein-

auch die Zeit hat nicht viel verändert,

mit der Zeit wird es noch so sein.

Daß er wach liegt im dunklenZimmer

und das selbe Buch noch ließt,

von der Welt schon soviel gesehn hat

und er trotzdem nie vergißt.

For all these many years

is he still alone-

nothing will change over time

in time it will still be like that.

that he wakes up when others are asleep,

still in the dark room,

don't know much about the world

and he already forgets.

Most of the time he's pretty lonely

but mostly he is happy about it-

was too small even as a small person,

that's why he's like this.

that he laughs when others cry,

only falls in love with the bad guys

he gets up and looks somewhere.

They pass much too quickly,

time flies far too quickly.

Here today and there tomorrow

he is never in the same place for long.

But when the birds fly again

he doesn't know where to go to this day.

After all these many years

is he still alone-

even time hasn't changed much

with time it will still be like that.

That he lies awake in the dark room

and read the same book

has seen so much of the world

and yet he never forgets.
