Cos things just went from bad to worse

So I did the right thing and I just got, out first

I’m healing my emotions, my heart and mind

You kept on pushing and pushing and pulling me

Not fulfilling me and not respecting me

You broke me down & brought me to my knees

You said things to me that I just couldn’t believe

I saw your potential who you could be

But you weren’t there then now I see it clearly

You weren’t in that place where I wanted you to be

And for that I must take full responsibility

You can’t mould one into another

Like you can’t mould your sister and then make her your brother

The only person you can mould is in the mirror

The one who hurts the most and the one you seem to fear

But you’re here, there’s gotta be a reason for that

If you don’t respect yourself you won’t be respected back

No one can treat you worse than you treat yourself

So just sort it out you owe it to yourself x2

The only way to grow is to feel and face your pain

Sometimes in life we have to make mistakes

So we appreciate the good when it all goes great

But don’t hate, your life is way to short for that

Just thank the people on the way that tried to hold you back

cos they made you you who you are today

If it wasn’t for them you wouldn’t be this way

You’ve gotta be grateful for all you have

That means all the good and that means all the bad

Cos it makes up life and that’s the way it goes

What’s around the next corner, well no one knows

But I like it like that cos it makes it fun

And I can choose my path, cos it’s my life that I run
