ПРАВДА

Те, кто нашей трагедии рады,

Целят дальше, толкая дела:

— Целый век у вас не было правды…

— Правды не было?.. Правда была!

-

Нет, не в тех, кто при власти и силе,

Не в продажной газетной строке, —

Там стреляли, глумились, давили,

Только с кривдою накоротке.

Правда — стыла в сибирском вагоне,

Где везли, да не довезли.

И на Бутовском полигоне

Доходила до сердца земли.

Правду били в Уральском подвале,

На раздольном казацком Дону.

Правда — в тех, кто в атаку вставали

Всю Отечественную войну.

В Беломорско-Балтийском канале,

В соловецком студеном краю…

Сколько правды у нас закопали!

Память вечную пропою.

Я словам вразумления внемлю:

— Помолись-ка, давай, не реви!..

Наша правда закопана в землю.

Как фундамент.

Где Спас — на крови…

TRUTH

Those who are glad of our tragedy,

They aim further, pushing things:

- For a whole century you did not have the truth ...

“There was no truth?.. There was truth!”

No, not in those who are in power and strength,

Not in a selling newspaper line, -

They shot, mocked, crushed,

Only with falsehood in short.

Truth - froze in the Siberian carriage,

Where they were taken, but not taken.

And at the Butovo training ground

Reached the heart of the earth.

They beat the truth in the Ural basement,

On the open Cossack Don.

The truth is in those who attacked

throughout the Patriotic War.

In the White Sea-Baltic Canal,

In the Solovetsky studensky region ...

How much truth we have buried!

I will sing eternal memory.

I will heed the words of enlightenment:

- Pray, come on, don't cry!..

Our truth is buried in the ground.

Like a foundation.

Where the Savior is on the blood...
