Ich war noch ein Mädchen

Und wohnte im Städtchen.

Da gab es ein Hafen.

Wo Schiffe eintrafen.

Das fand ich so spaßig

Und darum saß ich

Fast immer am Kai rum.

Alle dachten, ich sei dumm.

Doch ich, ja, ich wusste,

Dass er kommen musste.

Und er wird ganz schlau sein

Und ich werd seine Frau sein.

Es ham viele Jungen

Um mein Herz gerungen.

Doch an mich ließ ich keen ran.

Denn ich wollte ein Seemann.
