Была я в общем-то невестой, в кудряшках крашеных была.

Но протянули мне повестку и я куда-то поплыла…

И заревела громко мама.

Не надо, мамочка, рыдать!

И первое, что я узнала — как руки за спиной держать.

Прощай, родимая, прости, любимая,

До встречи, школьные мои друзья…

Уеду в дальнюю страну Сибирию,

Уеду поездом, где холода…

Я тоже рот платком закрыла, чтобы от боли не стонать.

И оглянуться позабыла, чтоб милый город увидать.

И понесли меня колёса в Сибирь, где я совсем одна.

И ни ответа, ни вопроса не задает теперь страна.

In general, I was a bride, I was in dyed curls.

But they handed me a summons and I swam somewhere...

And mother roared loudly.

No need, mommy, cry!

And the first thing I learned was how to keep my hands behind my back.

Farewell, dear, forgive, beloved,

See you soon, my school friends...

I will go to the distant country of Siberia,

I'll leave by train, where it's cold...

I also covered my mouth with a handkerchief so as not to moan from the pain.

And I forgot to look back to see the lovely city.

And the wheels carried me to Siberia, where I am all alone.

And now the country is not asking either an answer or a question.
