You moved out of home

To gain some independance

To grow yourself a garden

To find yourself some friends

To plant yourself a sunflower

And soon it’s gonna bloom

And it’s your’s

And it’s mine

Now it’s ours

You can feel the wind

As he whispers weather hanging

You walk up to the church

There’s pillows on the floor

And reverb in the structure

That could crumble any day

And this place you’ve grown to love

Is nothing like the place you once called home

We put everything

Into a vase that smashed to pieces

Now we’re hostile for our age

It’s like we’ll never love again

And this will be our year

To erase the ugly memories of the past
