A klecí zbylo věru víc než snů, jež v duši sídlí

Jak ustrašení šakali po dvacet roků hnití

My trpělivě čekali, až vlci budou sytí

[: už táhne smečka nažraná do tajgy hluchoněmé

My, čekajíce na hrana, teď o kosti se rveme.

Flocks of doves with green wings are already pulling

And there are more cages left than the dreams that reside in the soul

[: after a quarter of a century of silence and half a century of fear

Horrified by our audacity, we spit on a papaya.

The rain falls on the plague pillar and infested vines

Metal horses are already pulling from Augia's barns

[: and there is no one to sneer, for the counselors are self-proclaimed

They fist the old habits on and steal, lie and yawn.

How frightened the jackals were after twenty years of rot

We waited patiently for the wolves to be full

[: a pack eaten by the deaf-mute taiga is already pulling
