Das Monster - Karat

Letzte Nacht,

ein Monster nahm mich in die Arme.

Mit Riesenhänden

und mit Augen zum Fürchten so groß.

Voller Schreck bat ich,

daß es sich meiner erbarme,

doch ließ es mich

bis zum Aufstehen gar nicht mehr los.

Letzte Nacht,

im Traum hörte ich seine Stimme,

es sagte mir:

He, du wirst mir doch langsam zu fett!

Du rauchst zu viel

und du trinkst ja schon fast ohne Willen

und gehst auch viel, viel zu wenig

ins eigene Bett.

War ich froh

als ich erwachte!

Der Tag war gleich,

gleich noch mal so schön.

Ja war ich froh

als ich erwachte:

Es war nur ein böser Traum!

Ich bin doch nicht umzuhau’n!

Ganz kaputt

sah ich mich vor dem Spiegel dann stehen

und wieder hört' ich

das Monster wie’s droht, wie es lacht:

Wenn du so weiter machst,

ist der Ofen bald aus.

War ich froh

als ich erwachte!

Der Tag war gleich,

gleich noch mal so schön.

der Schreck wird mich lange begleiten.

In meinem Kopf

spielten Hexen und Teufel Klavier.

Ich sah, wie sie

sich um meine Seele schon streiten.

Und wenn du’s nicht glaubst,

kommt das Monster

bestimmt auch zu dir!
