Se oli kaunis kevät päivä

Säteet auringon sinkoili pinnalta jään

Isä toiveikkaana taivaalle katsellen

Viritti liidintään

Isä koskaan kertonut ei

Että vuodet menneet häneltä voimia vei

Ei edes pyytänyt ymmärtämään

Että hän tahtoi vain yli sinisen taivaan lentää

Isä lähti ikävä jää

Viimeinen lento niin hieno niin hento

Lempeät tuulet isän saattoi matkaan

Hän oli vapaa niin kuin on sudenkorento

Lennolla jolta ei palannutkaan

Ei isä koskaan ehtinyt kertomaan

Mitä mielessä liikkuikaan

Silti minä tiedän sen ikuisen kaipauksen

Niitä tunteita minäkin tunnen

Hetken tuulet ehti häntä kuljettaa

Vähän aikaa oli vapaa, piti ilmojen valtikkaa

Ja sitten ihan kuin yllättäin

Kai hän lensi pilviin

Puhtaan valkoisiin

Ainakin toivoisin niin

Viimeinen lento…

Viimeinen lento niin hieno niin hento

Aurinko säteillään muistot kultaa

Hän on vapaa niin kuin on sudenkorento

Isä lähti tuulten matkaan

On kai sen oltava niin

Jään kyyneliin

It was a beautiful spring day

The rays of the sun hurled from the surface of the ice

Father hopefully looking at the sky

Tuned to the connector

Dad never said no

That years went by took him away

Didn't even ask to understand

That he just wanted to fly over the blue sky

Dad left the sad ice

Last flight so fine so thin

Gentle winds accompanied Dad

He was free as a dragonfly

On a flight from which he did not return

Dad never had time to tell

Whatever the mind moves

Yet I know that eternal longing

I feel those feelings too

For a moment the winds carried him

He was free for a little while, kept the scepter of the air

And then just like a surprise

I guess he flew into the clouds

Pure white

At least I would like that

Last flight…

Last flight so fine so thin

The sun radiates memories of gold

He is as free as a dragonfly

Dad set off

I guess it has to be that way

I'll be in tears
