Dort an der Straße

Stand er und hielt den Daumen hoch

Ich rein in die Bremse

Den Typen hab ich doch schon gesehen

Er stieg ein und grinste

Und sagte leise: «Hi»

Mir wurde so heiß, ich dachte:

Hilfe, ich werd doch wohl nicht rot!

Er kam aus meinen Träumen

In mein Auto jetzt und hier

Ja, ich war schockiert

Und wir fahren zusammen bis zum Rand des Horizonts

Und unsere Haare lösten sich im Wind

Alles war so einfach, es war komisch und zugleich normal

Kein Gestern, Morgen, Heute, nur noch wir — und das mir

Ich fuhr durch die Gegend

So romantisch irgendwie

«Lass uns übernachten irgendwo»

Bat er, mir zitterten die Knie

Er kam aus meinen Träumen

Daher kannte ich ihn gut

Darum fand ich auch den Mut

Und wir waren zusammen, so war’s nie mit anderen sonst

Die Liebe ist viel leichter, als man glaubt

Ja, wir waren zusammen, wie im Traum, und doch nochmal so schön

Und alles war so leicht und überhaupt so vertraut

Am Morgen lag ein Brief da: «Ich leih mir etwas Geld

Denn was kostet schon die Welt?»

Ja, wir waren zusammen, und ich lachte wie noch nie zuvor

Schlawiner, Gauner, lieber kleiner Dieb

Und ich werd ihn finden

Auch wenn ich durch alle Straßen fahr

Und find ich ihn, dann geht’s zum Traualtar

Ist doch klar

That's why I found the courage

And we were together, it was never like that with other people

Love is a lot easier than you think

Yes, we were together, like in a dream, and yet again so beautiful

And everything was so easy and generally so familiar

In the morning there was a letter: "I'll borrow some money

After all, what is the cost of the world?"

Yes we were together and I laughed like never before

Scoundrel, crook, dear little thief

And I will find him

Even if I drive through all the streets

And if I find him, then it's off to the altar
