Too much to think about

Caught in a wave of doubt

And trying to swim

And it’s the middle of the night

Things that you cannot mend

Well not in the dark

And anyway

Spin a web take a deep breath

Head up now don’t forget to smile

And all of the while

You’re not there at all

Look at you now

You can’t fight

You’re inside out

Where are you now?

Tongue-tied

You can’t cry out

You’re barely breathing

It’s a landslide

With no time out

But I wont tell

And don’t you hide it well

Anyway

And who are you now?

Who are you trying to be?

And what about that silent scream

You carry in your eyes?
