We are 2 Clocks, ticking in time;

Perfect reallign, ticking right on time;

If your hands move too slowly, that’d be fine;

We are 2 birds, sitting on the line

Electricity flows through you and me;

If one of us did fly, then the other would fry;

So I’ll stay with you, until we see this through.

We are 2 trees, growing side by side;

Our roots burrow deep, think how we stand asleep;

If our roots should entwine, then we’d suffocate and die;

If I hold you too tight, please don’t leave me tonight.

In the morning, if we are still alive;

We can keep on living through the day;

If by chance we were to die, I couldn’t think of a more perfect wayn
