Most times a vision breeds just to see how far it goes

And sometimes a wish can feed on self-esteem alone

But every now and then someone looks

Past the so called vital things

A dream is born with lava blood

Iron lungs and severed wings

The search begins for the good times grabbing all it can

It knows that life ain’t long enough to spend it living by a plan

It will not believe in wicked lies

No matter how often told

A sun-splash through a thunder cloud

That’s just as young as it is old

Traded the promises of gold

For a passion considered unsafe

To question what’s told

Credibility then sold

Yet won’t sever one’s faith

Forced underground it feels at home

Safe and sound a gift all it’s own

When done what pays most

Born is a shallow smile ghost

Destined to roam

But on strides the one who believes what they’ve done

Never relying on the rules of some games

In which the rules are the same

Play it dying

This time a vision bred not to see how far it goes

Its appetite could not be fed on self-esteem alone

Matters not if it a fortune brings

Or never recognized at all

Countless rewards and let downs

Is what the real king bought
