Yo le decía a las olas

Por favor dejad que venga

Que no se lleve a mi amiga

Antes de que pueda verla

A esta vida y la fatiga

Fatiga de padecerla

Con sus alegrías y penas

Pero la espalda bien recta

Y aunque ande por penas

Sufrimiento y con llanto

Yo amo el camino

Por eso quiero tanto

El suelo que pisas

La arena y los charcos

Que en el agua salada

Al pasar vas dejando

Con lo rápido que pasan los días

No me da tiempo a pensar

Gracias por este momento robado

Para un poema que ayer

Cuando justo salía de casa

Al pasar la puerta recordé

El mar y las velas

Las olas que van

Marcando el camino

Que tú llevarás

Si no es en los sueños

Será al despertar

Por lo que a la corriente

Nadie puede enseñar

Cuanto de menos te eché

Aunque nunca me acostumbrase
