These walls… were once my home

These halls… hang pictures of unknown

I came to you as living proof of what was there

With nothing now to see is how strayed elsewhere

I left to fight for you and all those in between

I served my time and found you were nowhere to be seen

Why couldn’t you write me back and tell me it was off

And now I found myself betrayed and lost

Offset is my legacy

It’s part of me… you were a part of me

Problem was

I put my trust in you

I believe in you

I was such a fool

Reflections in the mirror show shadows of my past

Memories I have of you now surely would not last

Break down my love for you so foolish and so flawed

Like a trainer in a cage just waiting to be mauled

It’s clear now

I regret the life we shared

I questioned your devotion

I gave you everything and you threw it all away
