I’ve been a foreign lander

For several long years and more

Among the brave commanders

Where the wild beasts howl and roar

I’ve conquered all my enemies

Both on the land and sea

But you my dearest you

Well, your beauty has conquered me

I can’t build a ship

Without the wood of tree

That ship would burst asunder

If I prove false to thee

If I ever prove false

The elements will turn

The fir will turn to ice

And the sea will rag and burn
