My plans fell through, you called me over

My light in the dark

Or so I thought

Best believe I had fun

But everything good must come

To an end

This time as fast as when

I descended the stairs from your apartment

And I prayed I’d never wind up here again

I’ll leave with my self respect

For once this time

This year I’ve learned

Good things come to those who wait their turn

And as someone who gave up on something great
