Hillview - Idle Class

We took our time because we thought

we had it all figured out

had a masterplan up our sleeves

but can´t find it anymore

we spent most of those nights talking about

how we´d take this world by storm

and the stories we could tell

when we found our way back home

and still the city is lieing in mist down by the hill ever since that day that

i went away

and to be honest i don´t care

about your opinion anymore

i tried my best to keep it together

when you kept cutting of the ropes

you don´t know that our flag´s still waving

high up on that hill

where we ones swore to youth

with an unsaid promise:

won´t grow up now and never will!

And still the city is lieing in mist down by the hill ever since that day that

i went away

and as simple as it sounds

it couldn´t be any harder to say

but this city has changed a lot more

than i thought it ever could

and some memories are blurry

some that i drank down the drain

but i know that in the back of my head

a wistful feeling will always stay

about whatever it was that has stopped the rain
