On that grind from moonlight to sunshine

Combining a little chemistry to unwind

We’re all tied to our own vices

Shit, I’m twenty-two and at a midlife crisis

Stabbin' internal demons with an ice pick

That it tryin' to post my soul on a price list

Always at limit left lifeless

Far from right just wanna live righteous

But might just succumb to my temptations

Losin' virtues runnin' out of patience

Swan divin' head first into destruction

Could spontaneously burst in combustion

On the verge of blowin' up I can sense it

Frustrations are vented through the pen’s tip

Let it all spill out on the table top

Tired of sittin' in the same old spots

Need to make moves to better my positionin'

Need some luck out of this well I been wishin' in

I got nuttin' to lose and everything to gain

So I seize the day to try and ease the pain

Free my brain from a state of turmoil

'Fore it’s ashes to ashes back to the earth’s soil

No matter what it’s like it is what it will be

Full speed ahead live life 'till it kills me

Gallons of blood, buckets of sweat, an ocean of tears

Shed skin, fixated with escapism

‘Cuz city limits can seem like a state prison

Need lettuce for leverage but lack the cabbages

It’s me myself versus I in this battle
