I know that I’ve been changing and it’s hard to keep up

I’m trying to follow dreams but it’s hard when I don’t sleep much

And this deep stuff I’ve been writing, I don’t realize

Is the way I’m really feeling 'til a month goes by

Stretched out too thin, stressed out, tooth grin

Trying to find the best route

Questions that I’m asking, the answers I don’t know them

Deep inside I do but lately, I have lost it

Learning how to silence and shut out the distractions

Trying to capture the magic while I practice my craft

My brain’s in the attic and my heart’s on my sleeve

Sometimes I’m awake and still others, I’m asleep

I’m trying to stay focused on the path that I walk
