Gibt endlich auf

Er räumt das Feld

Und Schlaf weist dich ein

Erlöst dich langsam vom Leblossein

Wo ist die Jugend des Herzens

Sie war doch gestern noch da

Wo ist die Freude am Morgen

Du weist nie wann es geschah

Dass sie dich vergessen

Ohne Warnung verschwand

Und Tage erkalten

Die Wehmut entstand

Days hang like weeping willows
