Nein, sie schmelzen nicht

Fliegen Vögel rückwärts?

Nein, ich glaube nicht

Müssen Pflanzen dreimal täglich

Essen so wie ich?

Wer reibt Schnee zu Flocken?

Und was tut der Mond, seit er bewohnt?

Das gleiche wie zuvor

Und wer dreht von rechts nach links den Wind?

Ist der Himmel blind?

Schläft mein Schatten, wenn ich schlaf'

Was ist Ewigkeit?

Worauf wartet ihr

Und habt niemals Zeit?

Sagst du’s mir, wenn du’s nicht weißt

Oder lächelst du

So wie alle andren

Lächelst nur und schweigst

Und die Farbe deiner Augen, deiner Haar'

Die wie meine sind

Hast du sie mir geliehn

Oder gar geschenkt?

Doch wie konntest du verschenken

Was du immer noch besitzt?

Willst du mir nicht sagen

Wer du wirklich bist?
