Heute morgen war Termin

am Gericht, da sah ich ihn

nach langer Zeit zum ersten Mal

Sein Gesicht war blass und schmal

die Augen müde und so leer

Als der Scheidungsrichter sprach

dachte ich darüber nach

wie der erste Streit begann

wegen nichts fing alles an

Ich weiß es heute selbst nicht mehr

noch einmal suchte ich seine Hand

weil das Bewusstsein in mir schwand

es war ein kurzer Augenblick

dann zog er seine Hand zurück

Mir war übel wie noch nie

ich hatte butterweiche Knie

und das Urteil traf mein Herz

wie ein brennend heißer Schmerz

wenn ich doch nur gestorben wär?

Gerne hätte ich geweint

doch ich habe, wie mir scheint

schon lange keine Tränen mehr

Als ob ich ausgetrocknet wär?

dann war der ganze Spuk vorbei

Ich sah noch wie er eilig ging

er trug noch immer unsern Ring

noch einmal drehte er sich um

doch seine Lippen blieben stumm

Heute morgen war Termin

am Gericht, da sah ich ihn

nach langer Zeit zum ersten Mal

In dem großen kalten Saal

starb jede Hoffnung, die noch war

Eben rief er noch mal an

doch er fragte nur noch wann

er seine Sachen holen kann

Und da wurde mir erst klar

wie sehr allein ich plötzlich war

This morning was an appointment

at the court, there I saw him

for the first time in a long time

His face was pale and narrow

eyes tired and so empty

When the divorce judge spoke

I thought about it

how the first fight started

it all started because of nothing

I don't know myself anymore today

once more I sought his hand

because the consciousness in me was fading

it was a brief moment

then he withdrew his hand

I was nauseous like never before

I had buttery knees

and the verdict hit my heart

like a burning hot pain

if only i had died

I would have liked to cry

but I have, it seems to me

no more tears for a long time

As if I was parched?

then it was all over

I saw how he left in a hurry

he still wore our ring

he turned around again

but his lips remained silent

This morning was an appointment

at the court, there I saw him

for the first time in a long time

In the big cold hall

every hope that was left died

He just called again

but he only asked when

he can fetch his things

And that's when I realized

how lonely I suddenly felt
