Sie lachten auch über uns, auf unserm Weg zum Traualtar

Doch was tun sie jetzt, sie sagen: Seltsam, aber wahr

Alle lachten über unsre Ehe, doch wir haben sie versetzt

Denn sag mir doch, wer lacht zu guter Letzt

Und sie lachten alle übers Fernsehen, heute sehn sie’s selber an

Und das Flugzeug hielten sie für blanken Wahn

Sie belachten später jenes Pulver, mit dem Namen Nescafé

Über Porsches Wagen gab es viel zu sagen, dann hieß er VW

Sie fanden’s komisch wie nie, als ich dir sagte, ich bin treu

Doch heut' sagen sie, dass ein Irrtum menschlich sei

Alle dachten, das geht bald vorüber, doch sie wundern sich bis jetzt

Denn ha, ha, ha, wer lacht am Besten?
