Sie wollen keine Tränen von dem Kasper

Zumindest wollen sie davon nichts wissen und nichts sehen

Das ist nicht einfach, glaub mir

Und das kann keiner so wirklich voll und ganz verstehen

Ich habe nicht mal gelogen und trotzdem hat mir

Schon lange keiner mehr geglaubt

Ist das nun Fluch oder Segen?

Ihr werft mit Rosen, doch die zerfallen sofort zu Staub

Ohne Nachdenken etwas zu sagen

Und trotzdem auf sich stolz zu sein

Das ist manchmal schwer zu ertragen

Bei soviel Überheblichkeit

Doch irgendwie wollte ich’s nie anders

Wenn ihr bei mir seid, ist das so schön in dem Moment

Auch wenn’s gelegentlich später

Heiß und bitter in meiner ganzen Kehle brennt

Ich hab die andere Seite gesehen

Ich habe ewig gebaut und bin Sekunden nur gefallen

Ist das nun Fluch oder Segen?

Ich muß immer was hier oben drin ist teilen

Ohne Nachdenken etwas zu sagen

Und trotzdem auf sich stolz zu sein

Das ist manchmal schwer zu ertragen

Ich bin machtlos gegen die Alten

Und kann doch nur ich selber sein

Doch gibt’s nur diese Möglichkeit

And nobody can really fully understand that

I didn't even lie and still got me

Haven't believed anyone for a long time

Is that a curse or a blessing?

You throw roses, but they immediately crumble into dust

To say something without thinking

And still be proud of yourself

That's sometimes hard to take

With so much arrogance

But somehow I never wanted it any other way

When you are with me, it is so beautiful at the moment

Even if it's sometimes later

Burns hot and bitter all over my throat

I've seen the other side

I've been building forever and only falling for seconds

Is that a curse or a blessing?

I always have to share what's in here

To say something without thinking

And still be proud of yourself

That's sometimes hard to take

With so much arrogance

I am powerless against the old

And I can only be myself

And sometimes that's hard to take

But there is only this possibility
