Put away your sneer, I smell it on your hair

I don’t like the feeling being so cold in here

Wrap your shawl around your cold shoulders

The water is deeper than you care to swallow

The further the shoreline the colder the fire

The hangman whistles as he leaves his home

Rustling through the leaves to make another his own

Poor girl thought she was a blushing bride

It’s funny how familiar this poison tastes
