Double Standard - Hangnail

I’ve tried and tried to understand what,

what you’ve been thinking.

So where’s your pride when your security is self-seeking?

Misleading on.

You’re an example leading kids astray.

So carry on.

Don’t you count on any help from me.

Can’t you see that your life’s breaking?

It’s what you wanted, I didn’t think so.

Are these walls that you’ve been making what you wanted?

Do you even know?

When you fall down, if you need me I’ll be waiting.

You convict yourself maintaining your integrity.
