Summer Heat -

The summer heat can’t make me sleep

I stay awake and see who I used to be

I don’t drink, I don’t smoke, I just mope around my house

Sidetracked by the minds of old friends and how time will end

I collect dust just like your records do

Remember the time that you drank all of that red, dead wine?

Or when I smoked herb and like a curse, couldn’t utter a word?

That’s what I miss

Carelessness

And when you are the first one to call every time

That’s what you fall back in line

I was caught in between my friends and my dreams

You were the middle

Caught in the reams
