Wide is the gate

And narrow the way

Into the daylight

And away from all the strangers

Drifting along

Broke to the bone

I float like a new born

Into the morning

And follow the call

Of the dawn in all its glory

I’ll take a stroll on the yellow brick road

Where stories and songs unfold

And maybe it’s odd

But god knows I wrote

The slow rolling poems and songs

On the long way home
