Reaching without reason

Faces made of air

Iron drums in the cellar

Are calling up the stairs

I return to the dirt

And then I rise again

Turn the soil over

Close the box I sent

In the van dry heaving

Pop your aching heart

Go to clear your mind out

Pick your life apart

Sobbing in the bathroom

As I’m walking home

Follow me to my apartment

Drag me out the door

Slip into the back room

I’m training for tonight

Colors of the rainbow

I’m running out of fight

I can smell your perfume

But I can’t hear your voice

Telling me to go home

But I don’t have the choice

I don’t care what you said about my frind

I don’t need to know if you’re struggling to breathe

You thrw your drink at me as I was leaning in

But I still asked you if you wanted to leave

I talk to the mirror like I’m trying to start a fight

And you’re not scared of anger anymore

And I dance in an empty house

Patron saint of wisdom

Is standing down the hall

My only proper instinct

Brings me to her altar

I can feel hot breath

Dripping from above

Voices like an ocean

Drunken and screaming

Tell me what you want

Tell me what you came for

Do you want to dance

Or did you come to hide from the dead?

The feeling of knowing

That you will never see this place again

Happiness is leaving

My hand is falling through her wrist

You’re not scared of my anger anymore

So I don’t think it’s gonna be able to work itself out

I don’t know what I dreamed about the other night

But I count time in decades now

Ushering me further down

Grabbing me and shaking me awake

I daydream about melting into water

And I feel like drowning

And I think in impossible fantasies

And I believe in whatever you think is best

And I’ll be sitting here the rest of the night
