Me lembram frequentemente

Que por mais que sejam belos

Os retratos que tiram da gente

Jamais poderemos sê-los

Revivê-los exatamente

Que sempre teremos mais pelos

Ou as unhas cortadas mais rentes

Cabelos e unhas crescendo

Lembram que de nada adianta

Fugir de estar sempre sendo

Prédio em estado de planta

Projetando-se de um centro

Como quem se agiganta

Ou podando-se para dentro

Como quem em si se espanta

Cabelos e unhas, parece

Eu li num lugar qualquer

Que tenazes ainda crescem

Depois que a gente não estiver

Pode não significar nada

Mas encanta a quem supunha

Que não há forma acabada

Pra quem tem cabelos e unhas

My nails and hair

 remind me often

That as beautiful as they are

The portraits they take of us

we can never be them

relive them exactly

That we will always have more hair

Or the closer-cut nails

Hair and nails growing

Remember that it's useless

Run away from always being

Building in plant state

Projecting from a center

Like who grows up

Or pruning inward

Like someone who is scared in himself

Hair and nails, it seems

I read in any place

That tenacious still grow

After we are not

may not mean anything

But it delights those who supposed

That there is no finished form
