Тихо в тих мріях, як у Церкві,

Щастя моє стояло,

Я прочитав тобі молитви,

Які ти ще не знала.

Дізнався світ, сурма заграла,

Я відповів, ти не спитала,

На маків цвіт роса упала,

Ім'я твоє назвала.

Не заспівали треті півні -

Праведні Сили спали,

Наших обіймів дикі коні

На полі смерті грали.

А я ходив, не чувши розум,

Не по воді ходив — по сльозах,

Як на війні я був з тобою,

А думав — із Любов’ю.

Quiet in those dreams, as in the Church,

My happiness stood,

I read prayers to you,

Which you didn't know yet.

The world learned, the trumpet played,

I answered, you didn't ask

On the poppies flower dew fell,

I called your name.

The third roosters did not sing -

The Righteous Forces slept,

Wild horses hugged us

They played on the field of death.

And I walked without hearing the mind,

I did not walk on water - on tears,

As in the war I was with you,

And I thought - with Love.
