Rocce nere - FOLKSTONE

Il respiro si fa forte ghiaccio e vento rompono

Il silenzio dell’immenso tutto intorno a me

Dalla rupe il mio sguardo si smarrisce aldilà

Di scolpiti massi antichi memorie di passato ardor

Ed inerti rimangono le remote valli

E nei laghi si specchiano rocce nere Orobie

Mi circonda il profumo della neve sulla pietra

Sono schiavo dei miei sensi io mi immergo nell’oblio

Or son libero e sovrasto le dimore e i boschi bui

Seguo il fiume all’orizzonte che svanisce nell’addio

Ed inerti rimangono le remote valli

The breath becomes strong ice and wind break

The silence of the immense all around me

From the cliff my gaze strays beyond

Of carved boulders ancient memories of past ardor

And the remote valleys remain inert

And in the lakes, black Orobie rocks are reflected

The scent of snow on stone surrounds me

I am a slave to my senses, I immerse myself in oblivion

Now I am free and I overlook the mansions and the dark woods

I follow the river on the horizon which vanishes in farewell
