Est-ce ma vue qui a baissé, un tour que me joue mon cerveau?

Y vois-je trop clair ou trop foncé, fait-il trop jour, ou nuit trop tôt?

Est-ce d’avoir trop longtemps fixé les touches d’un piano

Les cases d’un échiquier, ou trop raturé de mots

Comme dans les cinémas d’antan, je vois le monde en noir et blanc

Noirs, les marchés truqués, des trafiquants de rêves

Blanc, le drap que l’on tend sur tous ceux qui en crèvent

Noir, le sang de la Terre et l’or qui en jaillit

Blanche, la couleur que prend l’argent au paradis

Noires, marées et fumées, et la colère du ciel

Blanche, dans les veines des enfants, la neige artificielle

Noirs, les fusils d’assaut des soldats de dix ans

Blanche, la robe des mariées qui en ont presque autant

Le monde est noir et blanc

Quelqu’un a éteint la lumière, ou quelque chose m'éblouit

Comme, dans le ciel, un éclair qui vient soudain rayer la nuit

Est-ce qu’on devient sans le savoir daltonien avec le temps?

Pour ne plus avoir à revoir, un jour, la couleur du sang

Ou est-ce que ce monde est vraiment aussi noir qu’il est blanc?

Est-ce que je deviens clairvoyant, ou ai-je les yeux de la peur

The world is black and white

Someone turned off the light, or something is dazzling me

Do we unknowingly become color blind over time?

To never have to see again, one day, the color of blood

Or is this world really as black as it is white?

We can pray, sing the Earth, drink and cover ourselves with flowers

No matter what the sleeping pill, we never dream in color
