I’m in the mud

Stuck, but it’s good

Deep in the woods

The roots grab my foot

Spirit’s soaring

My face is shining

Informs my mind that

You’re not alone

Dyed in the wool

A foreign country’s home

But if I stake my claim

Then it’s all in vain

An open wound should

Not be buried

The cross you’re bearing

Is not worth sharing
