The Harpy - Fauna

Fly into the corpsepainted sky,

The feathered arms of mystery.

From these infinite heights,

My shadow obscured.

A soaring arrow of loss,

Borne aloft by mortal hands.

Bound banshee of the sky,

Your luminous fury unfurled.

Anima of the night,

Alight from the chains of their world.

The pull of soil unravels my journey,

Falling beyond the pale.

A wound that will never heal,

of flesh, soul and mind.

The world I’ve known

an echo rising to the wind.

Flying into the setting sun,

My death is a leap into life.
