Falling further from the life

I would choose

Strips my soul until there’s

Nothing left to lose

Trail of breadcrumbs in my wake

Blown away by the whirlwind of my mind

A penence paid for past mistakes

Can’t erase all the damage left behind

So I look away

For today

Cuz if I look too deep

Scared what I might find

Walking blindly led by words on high

Beg for substance with our hands held to the sky

A million words from every faith

Seem to echo through the caverns of my mind
