I used to wake up to a face

Now I wake up to a wall

The terms are down in black and white

My life is caught between the lines

Is this the end of the line?

I’m confined to a void

Losing face with time

I’m inclined to avoid

Waiting around with my ear to the door

Balancing on eggshells, empty basket on the floor

You’ve gone so far

And I feel so far-gone
