Everyday Sinner -

Walking in the watery sun of the autumn, kicking up the brown and yellow leaves,

Sitting on the floor of the park as I walk on my way to where, who cares.

One step, two step just keep moving my mind is racing faster than that car

racing down the road,

To the end of its race but no chequered flag so sad.

I know I did bad but I just can’t see it, oh lord just today wont you look the

other way, just today.

Keep me in the know of where my road is rolling, keep me in sight of where my

soul is roving,

Cause I’m digging up a deeper hole with my dragging heals, hell yeah,

Now I’m searching all over for some words that will cut it, hammering the truth

until those words will fit it,

Cause there’s many a slip betwixt the cup and the lip they say, no way.

Now I’m tripping over time like it just aint’t moving, turned so many corners

that I’m back at the beginning,

And I’m spitting out those words like I’m chewing on cotton wool, you fool.

Now my mouth keeps moving and those words keep coming, and I can’t stop now

cause you just keep smiling,

And I’m praying what I got to say is what you want to hear, my dear.
