Wirst du nachts blind oder wirst du wach?

Hörst du, wie der Regen singt oder wirst du nass?

Nimmst du mir die Trän'n, die ich wein’n

Oder nimmst du das Glück aus den Tagen, wo ich lach'?

Für wen hast du alles wohl getan

Wenn du immer zu mir sagst, was du alles für mich machst?

Bist du die Entbehrung der Last

Oder das Problem, das ich hab'?

Guck, wie die Welt sich verändert, dein Freund wird ein Fremder

Und sticht mit dem Messer, das du ihm geschenkt hast

Wir sitzen im goldenen Boot

Aber töten für Luft, wenn es anfängt zu kentern

Das Auge der dunklen Sekunde erkennt

Was ein Jahr voller Strahl’n nicht erkenn’n lässt

Denn die helle Fassade am Tage

Verdeckt alle Sünden und Narben von Gestern

Alles dreht sich um Geld

Alles dreht sich um Sex

Der Mensch ging bis auf den Mond

Doch ging noch nie in sich selbst

Und wundert sich über Stress

Und liebt nur, was ihn verletzt

Und, wenn einer mal was Gutes tut

Zeigt er mit dem Finger auf ihn und sagt

«Der kommt nicht weit im Leben, der ist zu nett»

Ich mein', ich fühle mich einsam

Wir glauben, immer dabei zu sein

Durch das Handy ein Teil zu sein

Mit den andren vereint zu sein

Doch sind dabei real allein

Die schönsten Momente sind nur dazu da

Um ein Foto zu machen und danach zu teil’n

Und sich glücklicher darzustell’n, als die anderen schein’n

Obwohl wir innerlich wein’n

Ich seh' so viel Hass, so viel Wut, so viel Lüge

Aber so wenig Ehrlichkeit

Wir verschwenden unsre Zeit mit Negativem

Als würden wir alle unsterblich sein

Woll’n immer mehr Geld für immer nutzlosere Dinge

Und dafür ist kein Weg zu weit

Während Liebe dich kein’n Cent kostet

Und nur sie die Menschheit von endlosem Schmerz befreit, ah

Do you go blind at night or do you wake up?

Do you hear the rain sing or do you get wet?

Are you taking away the tears I'm crying?

Or do you take happiness from the days when I laugh?

Who did you think you did everything for?

If you always tell me what you do for me?

Are you the deprivation of the burden

Or the problem I have?

See how the world changes, your friend becomes a stranger

And stabs with the knife you gave him

We are in the golden boat

But kill for air when it starts capsizing

The eye of the dark second recognizes

What a year full of rays does not reveal

Because the bright facade during the day

Covers up all the sins and scars of yesterday

Everything revolves around money

It's all about sex

Man went to the moon

But never went into itself

And wonders about stress

And only loves what hurts him

And if someone does something good

He points his finger at him and says

"He doesn't get far in life, he's too nice"

I mean I feel lonely

We believe that we will always be there

Being a part through the phone

To be united with the others

But we are really alone

The most beautiful moments are only there for that

To take a photo and then share it

And presenting oneself happier than the others seem

Although we cry inside

I see so much hate, so much anger, so much lies

But so little honesty

We waste our time with negativity

As if we were all immortal

Want more and more money for more and more useless things

And no way is too far for that

While love doesn't cost you a dime

And only she frees humanity from endless pain, ah
