I came out in a shroud

Bathed in all the waste I’d seen

And the rain rang loud

With that old familiar sting

The poison runs, the flame and the wick

My heart burns in it

The colors run, the sound of sick

And we drown in it

Keep my head above the ground

Heaven knows I’m buried now

Holy war came and gone

Now they say it won’t be long
