Где растут маслины, в деревеньке малой

Жил себе ослёнок со своею мамой.

Славный, добрый малый, он не ведал зол.

Был слегка упрямый, как любой осёл.

Вдруг, идут за ним в Иерусалим

- Должен ты пойти, чтобы сбылись Писанья все!

Рад ты, иль не рад, но должен в этот град

Въехать Царь царей на молодом осле!

«Слава и Осанна» - люди восклицали

Пальмовые листья под ноги бросали,

Кто-то возмущался, но признали все:

«Се, грядёт нам Царь на молодом осле!»

Вдруг, идут за ним в Иерусалим

- Должен ты пойти, чтобы сбылись Писанья все!

Рад ты, иль не рад, но должен в этот град

Въехать Царь царей на молодом осле!

Бог открыл глаза нам – и мы видим сами

Мы есть исполненье множества Писаний

Если Бог предвидел этого осла,

То о нас Он так же всё уже сказал!

Вдруг, идут за ним в Иерусалим

- Должен ты пойти, чтобы сбылись Писанья все!

Where olives grow, in a small village

The colt lived with his mother.

Glorious, kind fellow, he knew no evil.

He was a little stubborn, like any donkey.

Suddenly, they follow him to Jerusalem

Throwing palm leaves at my feet
