Was Einsamkeit, was Richtigkeit,

Was Mut und Überheblichkeit,

Was Liebe, Freund und Eigenheit,

Manch' Gedanke dringt zum Herzen

Als die Wucht aller Schmerzen,

Doch dies' bitterwonnige Beben,

Ist mein Puls für inniges Leben.
