Il circo - Don Backy

Felicemente andiamo quasi tutti i Martedì

col torpedone al circo di Mimì

non so con precisione quanti siamo e lìper lì

saremo in cinquecento o giùdi qui

Partiamo dal paese dove non c'ècosa far

e la serata magica sarà

il circo di Mimìèdi seconda ma però

ci si diverte tanto anzichenò

Ci sono nani di un altezza di due metri e più

ed un fachiro indiano di Cantù

i trapezisti soffron le vertigini perché

non sanno camminare manco in pie'

Ci sono infine i domatori di cammelli blu

ed i pagliacci che ti fan cucù

si puòsentir cantar perfin Don Backy ma però

ti sembreràDon Backy e invece no:

«Amico, canta ancora insieme a me

ridi ancora insieme a me…»

We happily go almost every Tuesday

with the bus to the Mimì circus

I don't know precisely how many there are and then and there

there will be five hundred or so of us here

Let's start from the country where there is nothing to do

and the magic evening will be

the circus of Mimìèdi second but however

you have so much fun instead

There are dwarfs two meters tall and more

and an Indian fakir from Cantù

 trapeze artists suffer from vertigo because

they don't know how to walk even on foot

Finally, there are the tamers of blue camels

and the clowns who peek at you

even Don Backy can be heard singing but but

it will look like Don Backy, but it won't:

“Man, he still sings with me

laugh again with me..."
