It’s so strange how well I recall the times

Watching jet trails travel across the sky

And looking back I don’t think I understood

How much I wished to get up and fly

Wasting the days away caught up in all this mess

I’d made myself in search of a stronger self

I looked for courage to help me take a stand,

But went astray again and again

Don’t tell me the fate was all decided for myself

And everything I held onto, all that I believed lived and died inside my head

I won’t buy it, gonna fight it, catch a moment that feels right

If I hold it closer, I will see all my dreams come alive

The voice inside me says I gotta go the distance

Over and over, resounding within me

A passion once asleep is finally coming out

I may be learning, but I’ll try to be your hero

And change everything if you only believe it

Be the victorious melody in your heart

With a peace sign high up in the air
