Little orange tree you’ll never know

The hope you bring to me

A flash of color when all the world is gray

A taste of sunshine when its warmth is miles away

For when the cold sets in, I’m convinced once again

That winter’s come this time to stay

And I fear the night will finally triumph

In swallowing the day

You prove new life can be found

Little orange tree, you really are a mistery

A thing so fragile, yet so strong

This winter’s killing everything

Yet somehow you hold on
