Body feels cold to touch

Decomposition begins

The start of lividity

Rigor in the face

Jaw and muscles of the neck

Arms and trunk then legs

Thirty six hours it’s left

Green staining

On flanks of abdomen

Begins to distend

Then marbling

Blisters burst… turning black

Insects attack… turning black

Fingers and toenails loosen and shed

Hair loosens and falls away

Tissues soften and liquefy

Face you couldn’t identify

Doctors cut away at your corpse

Hacking away to find the cause

Stench of horribly decayed flesh
