Открой глаза, не расплескав последних снов, — они мои.

В них бирюза, дыханье моря, крик китов и корабли.

Я здесь живу, на берегу бескрайних слёз, в тени ресниц.

Я жду с печальным ядом лунных ос, туманных птиц.

Пришла беда.

На алом льду глухих штормов стальной гарпун.

Кипит вода, аккордом крови рвут китов канаты струн.

Весь чёртов мир — протяжный, страшный вой;

дрожание век.

Дурной клавир, гудит сквозь бурю китобой и пены снег.

Открой глаза.

Всё та же трещина небес в стекле окна.

Прошла гроза.

Мой сон стремительно исчез.

Твоих волос копна.

Где я теперь?

С какой я стороны листа упавшего в траву.

Поверь, — я сон тобой убитого кита;

сон наяву.

A bad clavier, a whaler hums through the storm and snow foam.

The same crack of heaven in the glass of the window.

The storm has passed.

My dream quickly disappeared.

Your head of hair.

Where am I now?

On which side of the leaf that fell into the grass am I.

Believe me, I am the dream of the whale you killed;

a dream in reality.
