Preconceptions - Deadlights

Am I avoiding my destiny,

If I change what's coming to me?

To take a step in the right direction

& Make your own,

You have to

Try to keep your wits about.

It gets difficult when you doubt

Everything and everyone,

And you won't be outdone.

Something small and insignificant

Can change so much.

It makes me ask myself,

Would I be who I am today,

If there had of been a slight change?

If I had a different name?

If the ropes around me started to fray,

Would you grab hold or have me erased?

There's nothing I know you don't,

There's just more than one way to skin a cat.

It's all about the approach & how much you let out of the hatch.

If you go too far you'll, you'll never get back.

Peering off the edge of the preconceptions I had.

The sharper mind beats the stronger hand,

The weakest point in the bluntest man.

Would I be who I am today,
