I’ve seen sons and daughters cry

we’ve seen the things that make the

world a terrible place

soo hard to find a friend

to truth your bid with you

soo hard to make a go

of all the things that make you

I can’t believe it’s come to this

a checklist for all my sins

questioning everything

and making life soo difficult

we all march to this funeral song

heaven save the ones i love

i’m not afraid to die

but I’m scared to death

of all the ones i’ll leave behind

and devotion that i’ve come to find

a casket of repression

a sunday mass of unanswered questions

and a litany of regret

when the past comes back around again
